Today I witnessed a scene that I consider dishonorable. I was sitting on a park bench and lazily flipping through a book. The weather was sunny and the place was full of people. Spring was just coming into force, after winter people missed the warmth, sun, greenery and walks. Not far from me there were two kiosks, one with ice cream and the other with cotton candy. Suddenly a grandmother and her granddaughter approached. Honestly, the grandmother looked better than many young girls. She differed from women of her age with a rather athletic physique. Her clothes made it immediately obvious that the woman takes care of herself very carefully.
– Let’s buy ice cream. – But my mother doesn’t allow me… – So what? I know better what is best for you. Nothing bad will happen! Besides, we don’t have to tell mom. She won’t know about it. – But I don’t want to lie to Mom. Grandma went to the kiosk and bought an ice cream. I think what she did was wrong. Grandparents often spoil their grandchildren too much, and sometimes they do things contrary to their parents on purpose to seem better.
They spoil parental authority and violate discipline. I do not think they have the right to do that. In the end, parents become a model of tyranny for children, and grandparents are the embodiment of kindness. For education, restrictions are necessary, children should not be spoiled too much. It is very important that the child respects the parents. The older generation, arguing with more and more life experience, spoils grandchildren, allowing them too much. The girl, eating ice cream, no longer felt guilty for her actions. It was obvious that she strongly doubted the parental prohibition.
