My aunt refused to give me money for the business, but I got my way

When I was an ordinary worker, working like everyone else – for a penny, all my relatives adored me for some reason, invited me to all family celebrations, helped me when I needed help.

I was tired of living like everyone else, I decided to create my own business from scratch, but I had no money for the down payment. My parents were gone when I was 19: they were in a car accident. My aunt was married to a wealthy man. I thought it wouldn’t be a problem to help her. I was wrong.

My aunt said that owning her own business was slippery and risky, which was why she didn’t want to put her own money into it. You know, I don’t blame her. If it were me, I would have done the same thing. It was her choice, I understood, accepted and was not offended. The bank was not an option for me – the interest rates there are huge, I could not afford it. I had to save on everything – even on food, look for part-time work and save money for my own business.

A little later all my thoughts became clearer. I knew what kind of company I wanted, what I needed to build it, how much seed money I needed and what money for the initial promotion. I was determined to go all the way, not to retreat a single step. After all, since childhood, I dreamed of his own business, and now I was slowly getting a chance to create it on their own. The only thing that hurt me was my aunt’s jokes. Every time I showed up somewhere she laughed and shouted:

– How important, how businesslike, our businessman had come. Deigned to sit with us at the same table. When I managed to achieve the goal of opening my own agency, all my relatives immediately turned their backs on me, and especially that aunt. I didn’t break down. I had never been more motivated. A year and a half later I opened several branches in our city.

Then I got a call from my aunt, saying that her son was going to apply to university. He needed help with money and housing. By that time my aunt was already divorced and could not find a job to provide at least a minimum income, so she remembered of my existence.

I, understandably, refused to help them. I was going to open branches in other cities, it required a lot of money, so her son was very unfortunate. Because of my refusal, my aunt turned her back on me completely, although she had not communicated with me before…

Now my branches are already open. Business is booming every day, and my son is still sitting on his mother’s neck. None of my relatives want to take him in and don’t help him with money – my aunt refused everyone at the time.
