I’ve had a hard life already. And now such grief has fallen. I feel sorry for my grandmother, but I don’t know what to do.

I did not expect that I would ever find myself in such a situation. The situation is hopeless, and I have no help and support.

I live with my grandmother in a small town. I am 35 years old, and the old lady is 73. She raised me, because I did not know my father since childhood, and my mother went abroad when I was 5 years old and never returned.

Last year was quite difficult for me. I got sick and was hospitalized. I spent 3 months there, so I was fired from my previous job as a pharmacist. My grandmother paid for all the treatment. She said that it was money from her savings for a rainy day.

Yesterday I found out the truth. My grandmother admitted that she took several loans. The first one for treatment, and the next ones to repay the initial one. Now she has debts.

I do not know how to get out of this situation. I do not have this amount of money. If I had known earlier, I would not have agreed to the treatment, which was unnecessary.

Thinking about my grandmother’s debts, I cried all night and could not sleep. I would have to solve it somehow.

One thing I could not understand: who agreed to lend so much money to an elderly woman? My grandmother told me that she lied about her income, and she looks quite young for her age.

How to live further? We have grandma’s apartment, but we do not want to sell it ourselves, because we are very easily deceived, and we do not have money for realtor services.

After all, where will we go after the sale?

I already had a hard life. I am a single woman and I have long accepted the fact that I will not find a husband because I am overweight. All my life I lived modestly and worked in a pharmacy. And now such a grief has fallen. I feel sorry for my grandmother, but I do not know what to do. So far I do not see a way out of the situation.

What would you advise a woman to do?
