Sometimes you can live with a person and only realize years later that he really isn’t who he says he is.
When I met Daniel, I knew right away that he was the man of my dreams. I dreamt about him in my dreams and in my mind. And immediately began to plan our future together. Daniel seemed perfect to me. He also declared his love for me and assured me that he was only looking for me. Life seemed like a fairy tale. My mother was very happy for me.
We celebrated the wedding in the country. So wonderful, there were lots of guests and everyone was having fun. Mom took care of where to live for us. This is often an issue for young families and if it wasn’t for her, we would have had to go to a rented apartment. Mom gave me my grandmother’s apartment and then gave me her savings so we could make repairs. My husband and I were over the moon. But misfortune always walks around.
My father met a woman at our wedding who was younger than him. He decided to file for divorce. It was a hard blow for my mom. She had a stroke. Mom ended up in the hospital. The father sneakily took advantage of the situation and created their joint apartment, without even informing my mother – she was left without a place to live. Of course, my father’s young spouse had to be provided for. I decided to take my mother with me. First of all, she needed constant care. And secondly, I just couldn’t betray my mom; she did everything to make us happy. Now it was our turn.
Except that my husband didn’t agree with me. While the apartment of 70 square meters is quite capable of accommodating three people. We could live in one room and my mother in the other. But my husband stated that he was not going to live with my mother-in-law under the same roof, even though my mother had become quite quiet after her illness. And do not forget that we got this apartment only because of her. I did not change my husband’s mind – it just opened my eyes to the man. It was good that I did not have time to get pregnant. I kicked my spouse out, and I don’t regret it one bit. If he doesn’t want to live with my mother, let him live on his own. He’s just as mean as his father.
And if a man acts like that from the start, it’s only going to get worse. Mom is my closest person, so I choose him over my husband, with whom I live for a year. it is my duty to take care of my mother, I just can not leave her. And he who betrayed once will betray more than once. That’s a lesson I learned very well – thanks to my father. Of course it’s hard for me now, but my mom is on the mend, which means everything will be okay, and we’ll get through this situation. Stories like this come up quite often, except that each one has a different ending. Not everyone makes the decision to sacrifice his or her personal life for the sake of his or her mother.
Who do you think was right in this story? Should the heroine of the story have taken her mother home, or should she have put her in a separate apartment?
