Immediately after the wedding, my husband and I decided that we wanted children. My husband had a high-paying job. We lived in a three-room apartment, which he bought before the wedding.
About four years passed, but I could not get pregnant. Then I decided that I needed to enroll in the clinic and get tested. I came to the reception, immediately passed all the necessary tests. It is good that all my fears were not confirmed. I started crying with joy when the doctor said:
– You are absolutely healthy, and then added: – Let your husband come for examination as well.
When my husband came home from work, I decided to talk to him and tell him everything. I thought that he would be against the examination, but he agreed. He took time off work and went to the clinic the next day. He returned home late at night. He looked quite bad. When I asked why he did not answer my phone calls, he said that he did not want to upset me.
The doctor said that he could not have children. The only way out was to do IVF, but my husband refused this procedure. I could not sleep, and at night, I thought of adopting a child. During breakfast, I told my husband about my idea, he said that we need to think about it.
We wanted to hide the adoption, so we left our city for six months. My husband worked for me as a programmer, so he could easily work from home. We began to prepare all the necessary documents for adoption. We were in seventh heaven when we got a positive answer. Then they said that if there was a refusal in the maternity hospital, they would immediately inform us.
A month later we received the long-awaited call. We were greeted and told that we could come and see the baby. We did not waste a single minute. My husband and I were worried, because it was a small child. The nurse came out to us with the baby. He was sleeping sweetly. She said she would bring another one and we could choose. I refused, said that we would take this one.
It was a boy. He gently looked at me and started waving his hands. I took him in my arms and hugged him. I just could not describe the emotions I felt at that moment.
A week later, we returned as a full-fledged family to our hometown. We received congratulations and gifts from our relatives and friends. Since then, I have been completely immersed in child care. On the weekend, we decided to buy a baby, I followed my son to the room and fell unconscious. My husband immediately called an ambulance.
I was admitted for examination. My husband came to the hospital with my son. Later, the doctor told him that there was nothing wrong, it happens during toxicosis.
– What toxicosis? – the man asked in surprise.
– Simple toxicosis – the doctor said, and left.
We had a big fight with my husband. He started accusing me of cheating. I tried my best to convince him that I did not cheat!
– How did you not cheat? Last year, a doctor told me that I could never have my own children.
The next day he went to the same clinic where he was given a disappointing diagnosis to be examined again. When my husband received all the results, he asked the doctor a question:
– How could this happen? You told me then that I was infertile.
– We need a few days to study your tests in detail.
My husband returned home with a huge bouquet of roses and a gold ring. He apologized to me for not believing me at first. We made up, and eight months later, our daughter was born.
Six months later, my husband was again examined to make sure that everything was fine. Now our daughter is already 1.5 years old, and our son will soon turn 3. We are expecting our third child, though this pregnancy is quite difficult for me.
The clinic told us that we are not the first who adopted a child and who had such a miracle after that!
