My husband was married before he met me. He has a daughter from his first marriage, who is now twelve years old. He keeps in touch, gives gifts, sends money for her maintenance. And almost every weekend the girl comes to us. Sometimes she stays with us for weeks. Recently, a boy was born to us. And she loves to babysit him. In general, we have a great relationship with her. When we go on vacation, we always take the girl with us. Once the girl got sick, she had pneumonia. Her mother called her father and asked for money.
But, unfortunately, we had no money at that time. He asked to borrow from someone and said that he would definitely come up with something and return the money within a week. But his ex-wife threw him such a hysteria that all the neighbors were aware of our problems. Having achieved nothing by shouting, she told my husband: “Either give me the money or take your daughter!” And an hour later she brought the girl to our house and said that now he would raise his daughter by himself.
And she did not even put clothes with the child. So she started to live with us. She missed her mother very much, called and talked to her, wanted to meet, but she flatly refused. I do not understand how you can treat your own child like that, even animals do not abandon their babies. It was painful to look at the girl. I am even afraid to imagine what psychological trauma it can lead to in the future. A month later the girl recovered and we sent her to school.
The poor girl met her mother on the street, and she just took the keys to the apartment and left. My husband and I tried not to touch on this topic, it was hard enough for the child. The girl stayed with us. I still cannot understand her mother, who, in fact, treated the child as a toy. The one that you can play with in a good mood, and in case of lack of mood just leave. If there are any misunderstandings with the husband, then it is necessary to solve it with him, and not to drag children into the relationship. But she probably does not understand this. It is a pity, of course, but it is so.
