My wife and I had known each other long before we were married. My love for her began in elementary school. We sat at the same desk for four years. She always walked around with two pigtails that smelled really good. We became friends and I never told her about my crush.
In my senior year, I asked her to go to the last prom together, and she accepted my invitation. Her acceptance was an excuse for me to tell her how I felt.
But then she said she would only treat me as a friend.
I was very upset, because besides her, I did not need anyone. Studying at university helped me not to think about the girl I loved. After getting a decent education, I got a good job. My career went up and soon I was able to buy myself an apartment in the heart of the city.
My classmates and I often got together, but for some reason she never came. I always hoped to see her one day. Rumor had it, she lived in another city. And then, at one of those meetings, she did show up. I was happy. The same eyes looked at me as in my childhood. After the meeting there was an offer to go to a club to dance, and she agreed. Then I realized that my feelings for her were still the same. At the end, we exchanged contacts to keep in touch.
We started going on dates and, one day, I confessed my love to her again. But this time she reciprocated. I felt like the happiest person in the world. A month later we got married and she moved in with me.
My wife couldn’t find a decent job. I didn’t see a problem with that, since I could provide for the two of us. Especially since I liked the way she ran the household.
But over time, my wife became less active, I missed her attention. Bad thoughts began to overtake me, and after much doubt, I decided to install two cameras in the apartment. One in the hallway and one in the bedroom.
Being at work, it took me a long time to get set up to connect to the cameras. I was afraid my worst fears would come true. But I certainly didn’t anticipate seeing this picture. My wife was doing chores all day and also going to the store to get groceries. She didn’t have time to rest at all.
And before I arrived, she began to tidy herself up so that I could see her beautiful. I was blown away by her devotion.
So I bought the most beautiful bouquet of flowers for her and took her to a restaurant. Already there I confessed my low deed to her. And she, with a smile on her face, confessed her boundless love for me.
From that moment on, my love for my wife became even stronger. She is my ray of sunshine in the window.
