My grandmother asked me to sell her house. I thought it was just a regular old house

I have been working as a realtor for probably ten years. In a profession that is associated with communication with people, a person faces a lot of funny and sometimes absurd situations in the process. At least, it seems so to me. This case is especially memorable to me in my practice. I was working in a real estate office at that time. You know, we were often approached by elderly people. This time we were approached by a woman who was ninety-five years old. She asked to sell her house, planned to buy a simpler home, because she could not keep an eye on the current one.

The next day I went to the address to take photos of the premises and put it up for sale. The house was in the suburbs. It did not look very impressive. A small yard around the building was overgrown with ivy. Apparently, there is no one to help the grandmother. The appearance of the building was not particularly inspiring either. It was an ordinary, old house. But as soon as I went inside, my mouth remained open. It turned out that this woman in her youth was quite successful and invested a lot of effort and money in the arrangement of the house.

The hallway was decorated in light green tones. The bedroom is decorated in burgundy tones. All furniture and decor were carefully selected. Entering such a house, you do not expect to come across such luxury. There were beautiful tapestries with various biblical scenes everywhere. The bathroom is a separate topic, there was even a ceiling made of marble. It looked like the washroom of kings. We successfully sold the house for a fairly large sum. I remembered this case for a long time later in a conversation with colleagues. At every step you can meet something unexpected and amazing.
