A few years ago I met the man of my dreams. I knew that he already had one marriage, even had a little son of 5 years old. But it did not bother me in any way. The man, as a good father, paid alimony, saw his son once a week, spent good time with him. As far as I know, his ex-wife now has someone else, so I have no reason to be jealous. We started living together, got married. And then I gave birth to his daughter. Denys was so happy, he had long dreamed of a daughter. Everyone helped me with the child, my parents, my friends. But my mother-in-law was not visible on the horizon.
She did not come to my discharge from the hospital, did not ask for photos of the newborn granddaughter. Even when she turned one month old, she did not come, even though we called her. I did not understand what was the matter. After all, she spends good time with her grandson, from her son’s first wife. She even pays for all his sections and clubs, takes him everywhere. So the ex-wife has nothing to do but to arrange her personal life. I feel sorry for my child. Moreover, I did not do anything terrible to my mother-in-law, I was not rude to her, we even saw her only a few times and then she quickly went somewhere.
Maybe she just doesn’t like me or she thinks that I am a divorcee, but it is not so. Because my ex-wife already has some relationship. I just don’t understand why all this should affect my child. When my daughter grows up and reaches out to her grandmother; how can I explain to her that her grandmother just doesn’t care about her? I tried to talk about this with my friends, but they, on the contrary, envy me. They say that it is better than when the mother-in-law does not leave for a minute and constantly annoys. I told my husband about my concern, and he asked me to wait a little while until his mother gets used to it. But how long can we wait? It’s been two years already. ..
