We got married when my husband was still studying at the institute. He was earning a little money at the same time, but it was not enough. At first we lived with my mother-in-law. It was not an easy time. She is a woman of character, she has her own views and routines. It was difficult for me to adapt to her requests. There were no loud conflicts, but there were unpleasant statements from her side. Then, when we started earning more, we moved to a rented apartment. It seems that life began to improve. We could not afford to go out on a limb, but we had enough money for necessary things and food.
Then our mothers somehow got together and started talking about the fact that a child was needed for the family to be complete. They offered their help. They described in great detail how everything could be organized. They said that they would take half of the costs on themselves and take turns with the child on weekends, they said they were even ready to sacrifice their jobs if necessary. Honestly, I wanted a child, but I was somehow scared. I understood that it was a huge responsibility. But they convinced me. And so, I got pregnant. For all nine months, my grandmothers were delighted, they visited me, looked after me in every possible way, made big plans.
During this period, they bought the baby a crib, a stroller and a lot of clothes. I was taken from the maternity hospital in a spectacular way. My mother-in-law and my mother even took a vacation from work. They spent a week with the baby, and then… cooled down to him. Now the baby is six months old. It is very hard for me and my husband financially and physically.
He was forced to take a second job to provide for us. We hardly see each other. I take care of the child alone. My mother and mother-in-law do not visit us at all and do not help us in any way. They come up with all sorts of excuses not to sit with the child. I feel deceived. It’s not only about fatigue, I have health problems, I need to be examined. But I have no one to leave the child with.
