My grandmother recently turned 70. She has been saving money for a long time, but did not tell anyone. She is cheerful, at the age of 70 she looks like 50. Recently, my grandmother announced that she is going to get married. We were all stunned, we could not believe our ears. Married how? To whom? My grandfather has long been dead, he passed away 20 years ago. My mother told me that my grandmother loved her husband very much, they lived with him soul to soul. And now she says this. Everyone was surprised: married?! At such an age? And the grandmother is outraged, if she is 70, it does not mean that she should put an end to her personal life.
The uncle was offended, accused her of treason, saying that she did not respect her late husband. But the grandmother insisted on her own. She firmly decided to get married. We began to prepare for the celebration. We ordered a table in the restaurant, began to plan the menu, music, wedding dress of the bride. My daughter-in-law and the groom asked to cut a lot of sausage: my grandmother was very fond of it, and fried dishes were not ordered at all. All expensive dishes were replaced with simple ones, they said that they would bring chicken and pies themselves. The groom asked to grate everything hard and be sure to dilute alcoholic drinks.
When it came to the wedding dress, the grandmother refused to wear a veil, saying that it would get in the way. Invitations were sent to everyone. The toastmaster was not forgotten. Two cakes were ordered. That’s why grandma was saving money! She used to say that she was saving for the funeral, but she spent it on her wedding. The wedding will be in September. And grandma is just glowing, she’s even younger. I think she really fell in love. She even started to joke. I asked what to give her as a present, and she replied: “Nothing, I have everything”. The groom also keeps up with his grandmother: he shines, smiles at her with golden teeth. I am very glad that I have such a grandmother. You will not get bored with her.
