As you know, children grow up quickly, so I did not notice how my son was already stamping his feet and running to meet his father from work. We did not spare him anything and sometimes bought unreasonably expensive things. For example, one such thing was his stroller. It was very expensive with a removable cradle and compact, I was specifically looking for one that would fit in the car. Yes, it was very functional, but it lasted us only a few months. Fortunately, I used it very carefully and when my baby grew up, I decided to resell it on a special website.
And as soon as I put the stroller on the site, I was contacted by a very nice young girl. She was satisfied with the price I indicated, and she expressed a desire to meet to see the product live. I, of course, agreed. By the way, I decided to sell the stroller for half the price, I thought it would be faster and easier. I gave her the address and literally in two hours this girl came to our house.
When I opened the door, I saw my niece in front of me. I was very happy about this, because many years ago we quarreled with her because of stupidity and stopped communicating, and then such a chance meeting. I made coffee and she started telling me about her life and that she and her husband had recently had a daughter. But since they have just graduated from university, they have to save a lot to provide for their child properly.
After a heart-to-heart talk, we went to look at the stroller, my niece was delighted with it. And since we are still strangers, I told her that I would reduce the price to make it affordable for them. She had to pick up the stroller in two days. So I cooked a delicious dinner and waited for her with my husband. We had a very nice family sit-down, reminisced about old times, and generally had a great time.
But when it was time to make a deal, she said that it would be nice if I gave her the stroller for free: to make a gift for her child. I was not so impudent and directly said that I was not ready to give her such an expensive gift. She was offended, called me stingy and left. After that, she told all our relatives that I spared 35 thousand for her baby, and for some reason everyone was on her side. As a result, I realized by my own example that financial relations with relatives are not worth it.
