The man has three sons, two daughters and a loving wife. The laughter of children does not stop in the house. His wife is always cheerful. It would seem, what else is needed for happiness?
But suddenly he noticed that his wife became lazy. The other day she forgot to wash his shirt, earlier she did not do all the work in the garden. And she gained weight. Her attractive forms remained somewhere in the past.
The man did not think long and decided that he needed help. He went to the wise man.
– So you say that the woman did not wash your shirt and potatoes did not have time to huddle? Maybe she is tired with all of you, because there are 6 of you, and she is alone. Does anyone help her?” – the wise man looked at the man intently.
– No, she doesn’t. Household duties are only on her. I have my own job, and the children go to school, study. Meanwhile, my wife is at home and has no time for anything. And the children do not want to listen to anyone! They are fooling around and making noise. She became lazy and even got fat!
– She got better? And you try to give birth to five children and stay in shape!” – the wise man reproached.
– I understand that, but maybe she should go on a diet. Let her eat a little less. I want to have a perfect family. For this I need a hardworking and beautiful wife.
– Okay. You can go home. Your wish will be granted. You will get your hardworking beauty, – said the gloomy wise man.
The old man was not lying. When the man came home, he saw a pretty young girl there. She smiled like his wife, but there was no warmth in that smile.
– Who are you? – the man asked.
– Your new wife! Don’t just stand there, come in, I’ve already prepared dinner, – the stranger said with a smile.
“I never even dreamed that I would get such a beautiful girl! What a lucky man I am!” – the man mentally rejoiced.
While the man was sitting at the table, the girl did not stop for a moment. She did all the household chores: cleaning, washing, cooking. And when all the housework was done, she went to the garden.
“The house is so quiet. Where are the children?” – thought the frightened husband. He ran into the room and calmed down. The children were sitting at the table and silently doing their homework. He could not believe his eyes. “Finally I have a perfect wife!”. The woman returned a few hours later. The work in the garden was done. Now she sat silently in the house with a smile on her face. The man began to be annoyed by the silence that reigned around.
– Why don’t you play some games? – asked the father of the children.
– We can’t run around the house. It’s not well-mannered, and we are well-mannered and obedient.” – answered the eldest son.
The children were lying in their beds and looking in the same direction. The man began to feel uncomfortable.
– “Why don’t you talk to me?” – the husband complained again.
– I am a hardworking wife. All I care about is that the household chores are done on time.
– And what happened to the children? Why don’t they laugh and rejoice anymore?
– Because I took up their upbringing. They are polite now, – the woman said with a strained smile.
Silence began to press on the man’s head. He started to have a headache.
– Let’s go to bed! – the man commanded.
“Maybe a new beauty can surprise me in bed.” The woman lay down next to him and she was cold. The man touched her hand and felt that it was icy. The man wrapped himself in a blanket and turned away from his wife. As soon as the sun rose in the sky, he immediately ran to the wise man.
– I beg you, give me back my old wife! – the man was still shouting in the doorway.
– Which one? The lazy and ugly one? Why do you need her? – the old man asked in surprise. – You got the perfect family you wanted so much.
– I realized that I want my wife back! I want my children to play and run around the house! You have to help me!
– But my ex-wife did not have time to do all the housework…
– That’s okay! I’ll help her, and the kids too, – the man promised.
– And her figure?
– Let her recover as much as she wants! She is still my dearest one!” – the man said with tears in his eyes.
– All right, then. Let it be so. Go back home and don’t forget that good things are not sought after!
The man hurried home. As soon as he opened the front door, he heard cheerful voices and sincere laughter. The woman came out of the room. She was cheerful as always. After dinner, the wife went to the garden.
– Where are you going? Stay with me! – the husband said frightened.
– I’ll be right back. I want to pick cucumbers…
– Wait, I’ll come with you! Children, come help your mother.
The children invented a new game in the garden. They raced against each other to pick the cucumbers. They were having fun and laughing heartily. They finished in twenty minutes. “Now I have a really happy family,” the man thought and hugged his wife.
