You have nephews behind the fence, they need looking after, and we’ll be back soon.

How do you feel about early calls? Very early. Recently, my husband’s sister’s spouse started calling me incessantly at 5 a.m. My husband’s phone wasn’t silent at that time either, his sister was calling him herself. We barely opened our eyes. The insolence was unprecedented.

After we answered their phone, we heard the following:

“Why are you still asleep? We are leaving before 11 for important business, and your nephews will be alone. They’re behind the fence right now. Keep an eye on the kids.” Before we could say a word, they hung up.”

My husband and I sat and looked at each other in bewilderment. What nephews at this hour and why are they outside our fence?

My husband got dressed and went outside. The dogs were barking like they were out of their minds, so there was definitely someone out there.

And yes, indeed, three of our nephews lined up at the gate. I was just shocked. So that’s the way to rest in the early morning.

We escorted the children into the house, and we started calling their parents to find out what was going on. The response we heard was:

“Don’t you love your nephews at all? You don’t help them with money, you don’t give them gifts. So at least spend time with them, and now we need to go away on important matters. And you can just rehabilitate your reputation in the eyes of the children.”

My husband and I were shocked. The youngest child is not even a year old yet, and they didn’t even put in diapers or baby food.

Fortunately, there is a 24-hour supermarket in our town. My husband went there to buy everything the kids needed. After all, although we have them until 11, but we need something to feed them.

We suffered with them for a long time. The children behaved badly, didn’t want to sleep, cried. We understand that it wasn’t their fault, since they were awakened so early.

Their parents took them only by three o’clock in the afternoon. And that’s only because my husband and I kept calling them. Other people’s children – a huge responsibility.

So they also accused us that we bought the wrong food and diapers. However, they took our purchases home safely.

Now we don’t know how to hedge against this? We are afraid of waking up and seeing our nephews at the gate again at 5am. I’m still pounding after what happened.
