– You can’t finish children’s meals – they won’t be respected

There is always some food left over after the kids. Sometimes bitten and chewed, but it’s a shame to throw it away.

I used to finish everything after the kids. I just didn’t have the heart to throw it away. We buy the most expensive and highest quality products for the kids, so I don’t want to feed the bums out of my own pocket. Does my husband make money for that?

My oldest son is 6 years old now, and my youngest daughter is 4, but I still finish eating for them. If I used to get canned food, now I get a spoonful of soup, a piece of sandwich, or a bitten apple.

My husband never finishes it because he’s squeamish. And I don’t understand how you can be squeamish about your child. But I haven’t stressed that for a long time, and I wish we hadn’t shared scraps.

One day a friend came to me and noticed how I was finishing my son’s potatoes. She began to scold me. Like, if you finish eating after the kids, they will not respect you. She also started telling me that we are not beggars, to do so. In general, she scolded me so that I put away my plate.

She left, and now I’m thinking. I think she said some nonsense, but I can’t get it out of my head. Maybe you really can not finish eating, or it’s all superstition? Do you finish your children’s meals?
