Hi all. I’m a young man, I’m 22 years old and just recently I managed to earn a small studio apartment.
The thing is that since I was 18 I went to the North to earn money for an apartment so our girlfriend could have a place to live. Of course I failed to earn millions. Nevertheless, I managed to earn enough for a small apartment without any repair.
It is worth saying that at some point I began to repair, the flight was very successful, the money left, including for cosmetic repairs, too.
It is worth saying that my girlfriend at that time was at her parents, because there were certain problems, and in general I did not tell her that I would be able to call her soon in his apartment.
It is worth understanding that one to cope with the repair is not so easy, for this reason, my aunt volunteered to help me. Of course, I did almost 90 percent of the repairs myself, but we glued the wallpaper together, plus she helped me clean up after repairs.
When all the dirty work was done for the housewarming party I invited my girlfriend and my aunt. In fact, it was at that point she came up to me and said, they say she helped me, now it’s my turn to help her. She said she needed her nephew to stay with me for a while.
I immediately said no, saying that there is no place here, and I do not want to take responsibility for a stranger to me. Of course she was offended.
The next day I went to her place of work and handed her an envelope with 15,000 rubles in it. She took the envelope right away, but she took offense at me and would not talk to me.
Do you think I did the right thing, or should I have acted differently?
