When the spouse was on a business trip, the mother-in-law wanted to kick the daughter-in-law out of her own apartment

My mother-in-law quickly started throwing my things into a suitcase, and then she threw them out on the floor. After she pushed me out of the apartment I called first my father and then my brother.

I had been living with my boyfriend in a common-law marriage for a little over four years. My boyfriend’s name was Robert, and he and I lived in his mother’s apartment, since we didn’t have our own place at the time.

My boyfriend’s mother wanted him to marry the girl she would choose for him, and he, as it turned out, didn’t want to follow her advice. My mother-in-law was nagging me a lot, so my grandfather went to live with my parents and gave me his place.

After Robert and I renovated the apartment, we moved into our own place. But his mother wasn’t going to give up and kept coming to my apartment and bossing me around. She kept telling her son that I was a disgusting hostess. She wanted her son to marry her friend’s daughter, but he defied her and chose me.

Robert and I decided that we would just get married quietly, without his mother knowing. However, my husband’s mother somehow got wind of it and came to the registry office with a funeral wreath. Her trick made the husband very angry, and he threw his mother out of the registry office with her gift. When we were about to go to the seaside for our honeymoon, my mother-in-law declared that she was coming with us and demanded that her son pay for her trip.

We pretended to agree, told her we were leaving, in two days, and left the next morning ourselves. My mother-in-law didn’t know where we were going, so she didn’t know where to find us. Once, when my husband was at work she came to my house and started throwing out my things right from the balcony, she called me a representative of the oldest profession and said that I had no business being around her son.

Thank God that on that day my husband came home earlier than usual from work and kicked his mother out of our house. After that incident mother-in-law did not come to us for three months, and then she came again when my husband was sent on a business trip. I couldn’t get her out of the apartment. She then told me to pack my things and get out before she lost her patience, or if it happens, I’ll be in the trash. Then she demanded that I sign my house over to her and threatened that if I didn’t, I would regret it.

She began packing my things into a suitcase, which she then threw out onto the lot. Once outside my apartment, I immediately called my father and then my brother. They arrived ten minutes later. My father and brother took my things back into the apartment and then closed the door behind them. My mother-in-law was busy looking for the documents for the apartment and didn’t notice she was no longer alone. Then my father took her by the shoulders and put her on the bed, and my brother took the keys to my apartment out of her bag and handed them to me.

My husband’s parent started calling me last names. My father lost his nerve and called the police, who took her to the station. I also went with my mother-in-law and filed a complaint against her there. After that my father changed the locks on the doors. My mother-in-law was fined for this prank and warned that if she ever tried to break into my apartment she would be sent to “places not so distant.

Then my husband and I had a baby girl. After this incident my husband refused to communicate with his mother. The parent sold her house and took off in an unknown direction. My husband and I are doing great, when our little girl was three we also had a son.
