As they say, Man dreams and the work is born and in this case, from Mortagua, comes a bike completely different in all aspects.
We present you another work of art on two wheels. Made in Portugal, this radical street-fighter came out from the imagination and ingenuity of Carlos Rodrigues, a man that needs no introduction in the motorbike transformation and creation world.
Regular prize-winner of several national and international Bike-Shows, he goes by the name of Motágua-fighter, which immediately identifies him as the creator of bikes so impactful as the Infernal Chaos (that you can appreciate if you click here), or the Disturbed Cadaver (that you can also see if you click here), both awarded in several contests.
This time, from Mortagua-fighter’s workshop comes his 10th exclusive bike. A revolutionary Violent Dream that does justice to the name for its mechanical rebelliousness by displaying front wheel drive and rear steering.
The frame, built entirely by hand, houses the engine of a Honda Shadow 600 fed by carburettors with 40mm bodies taken from a Suzuki Bandit 600.
For front-wheel drive the transmission features a rack on each side of the wheel. For rear steering, an ingenious system of cables and rollers is assisted by a home-made steering damper, as is the entire suspension.
For braking, the Violent Dream features home-made brake discs, with Nissin calipers from a Honda CBR 1000 at the front and a generic caliper from a Suzuki Bandit 600 at the rear.
In what concerns tyres, the Mortagua-fighter applied in the front a Kenda 130/90-15 while in the rear he applied a Dunlop 180/80, also installed in a 15 rim that contributes for the low and compact line that the Violent Dream presents.
The fuel tank has capacity for 4 litres of gasoline and includes an electric pump.
All the body was built in house, using materials like aluminium, acrylic, fiberglass and rubber.
We haven’t heard it working yet, nor seen it running, but surely it will be in conditions to at least go on stage in the next Faro Bike Show, where its presence is already confirmed, and where it will surely justify the success it has had internationally, where it has already had cover honours in many magazines and customising websites.
