There is a type of person who just can’t stand socializing with unfamiliar companies. Few people like to put up with so-called “toxic” people. I will tell you one case, based on the story of my friend. I will write, inspired by her impressions of the story.
I am on good terms with my rather close relative. We talk to each other confidentially, always visiting each other, for the sake of a fun chat. So this time I went to Maria’s for tea. After buying candy, I quickly rushed to her.
I didn’t choose the best time, because Maria already had someone with her. It turned out to be Rebecca. Her roommate. An elderly woman who drinks. Likes to spend her entire pension on booze. A man doesn’t like to drink alone, so Rebecca wanders the stairwell looking for free drinking companions. In general, she is particularly intrusive.
I’ve tried to avoid Rebecca. Because I can’t stand her. She talks out of control. She doesn’t know what she’s doing at all. That’s why I try to treat this woman with the utmost coldness. I was about to leave, but Maria insisted that I should stay. I did not argue. Anyway, I did not plan to stay too long. While the kettle was heating on the stove, Rebecca started chirping.
Not everyone could stand such a person. She’s always making me cry and then laugh. Maria has strange preferences. If I were her, I wouldn’t let such a tiresome neighbor into my apartment. Although Rebecca could stand and knock all day. Just try not to open.
I decided to leave quickly. I was tired of hearing all sorts of nonsense. Later Maria told me something that happened after I left. Another friend came to see her. At first everything was calm, but then Rebecca started to get negative. She berated Maria’s friend’s son for walking by and not saying hello.
The altercation got to the point where Mariah and her friend got into a fight.
– You wouldn’t believe it, Rebecca got us so worked up, almost to the point of a fight. It’s the first time I’ve ever seen anything like that…
I finally understand the term “toxicity.” Rebecca fits it very well. With her, the constant scolding always comes out of nowhere. Even all the neighbors are aware of it, no one wants to know her. Maria alone puts up with her antics.
But now she began to slowly see the light. Maria goes on to explain to me:
– You see, Helena and I are best friends. How many years together! We have been through a lot. Our lives have been anything but. And nothing, we made up every time. Rebecca has been a professional at pitting us against each other… We’ve been fighting over some nonsense. I asked Helena about what she had felt and she said it was as if she had been hypnotized. It can happen, can’t it? No, Rebecca must beware. My hospitality would not do me any good.
Maria had finally realized the truth. It doesn’t make sense to talk to everyone. It’s better to avoid women like that. You’ll be calmer. In general, I realized that I am glad where I live. In my house all the neighbors are adequate.
Later Maria reported that Rebecca had moved out. The apartment is for sale, and she now lives with her daughter. The reason was family problems. The hallway just became a pleasant place to rest after such sudden news. That’s the way it is… One person can ruin the lives of several people at once.
The environment is insanely important. I wish everyone a normal family and neighbors. You don’t have enough nerve cells for all the weirdos out there.
