The secretary general and executive director of the Institute for Social Policy (IPSE), Andrea Carreño, resigned late Sunday for personal reasons. Teresa Gutiérrez has taken over as head of IPSE in Spain.
For personal reasons I am obliged to resign as executive director of the IPSE, I am sure that the person who will continue with my work will do it in the best way and will be a great light for the institution and will continue with the expansion and the good work that this entity does,” Carreño stressed in a press release from the Institute.
On the other hand, Teresa Gutiérrez, who until now was the director of communication and strategy of the organization, has become executive director after Carreño’s resignation.
Gutiérrez said: I will not deviate from the line of action that began in Castilla y León. I consider that in a very special way it is where more work has to be done so that the rights of families are recognized and the interests of families are protected, not those who govern”.
I will also make a special emphasis on the fact that it is very important to give an effective response, the people of Castilla y León have an entity that will not leave them in the lurch, but will watch over them, that entity is IPSE”, said Gutiérrez.
