My mother-in-law put my daughter’s picture on the Internet without my permission. For what? I didn’t give her permission.

When my little boy was not yet a year old, he became a star on the Internet. And it turned out like this. Before we got married, we moved to another community so my husband would be closer to work. So all my family was far away. So there is absolutely no one to help me babysit. Well, except for mother-in-law.

My husband’s mother is not a bad woman. She is generally adequate. And if my husband and I argued, she stood on my side. But she has a stubborn temper. If she’s got something on her mind, she’ll see it through. Such a complicated woman. So it turned out and with a photo of my son. As it happens, I am a very superstitious woman. I believe in various folk customs and omens.

So I would not want anyone to put an evil eye on the child. I don’t let anyone near him, especially strangers. Only grandparents. And I haven’t posted pictures of my son anywhere. I don’t know who is going to affect him or look at him. And if you don’t take pictures at all, how will my parents see their grandson who lives far away?

After all, the boy hasn’t been baptized yet. He has a weak energy field. He’s defenseless against human envy. And until we find him godparents, any malice can do him harm. Not even in person, but in pictures. There are some people with an eye for an eye. Perhaps not for nothing they say that you should not show your baby’s face on the Internet. And if you dare to take a picture, be sure to cover your face with a smiley face. Otherwise you can’t avoid trouble.

And for all that, my mother-in-law is not going to adhere to any beliefs or customs at all. She doesn’t even care about my fear. How many times have I asked her not to take pictures of the baby. After all, she might show them to her friends, and there would be enemies among them. Anyway, that’s my son. And I’m responsible for his life. She agrees with me, nods at me, but ends up doing things her own way. I go to her social networking page, and there she created a whole album with pictures of my son – her grandson. And it is all carefully hidden from me. On purpose. I was furious, not just shocked. I talked to her about it several times. I talked to her good and bad about it. Why would she do that?

When I told my husband about it, he didn’t see anything wrong with what she had done. He couldn’t understand how a mother’s carelessness could hurt her son. She is his grandmother. I do not know whether to say something to my mother-in-law or not. It’s no use anyway.

Maybe we need to take things like this a little easier? What should I do?
