I have an adult daughter with a law degree from one of the best universities in the country. This daughter has a red diploma from this very university and twelve years of work in her specialty in companies involved in state tenders. Huge experience in arbitration courts, all the official salary, and such that even I, the chief accountant, and never dreamed. Head of the legal department of a large construction firm.
And then she goes on maternity leave. Yes, everything was fine on maternity leave and after maternity leave, too. That’s not the point at all.
Suddenly, she falls ill with nutritiology. It’s not just a healthy lifestyle, it’s something sacred, like total veganism. Except there’s no practice of giving up meat. As a result, all the study is for nothing, and all the experience, too. But now we’re going to become a nutritionist and cure everyone. The course instructor wrote to her: “first you do the training, and then you’ll get it all”.
I’m trying to explain that this is all the rage of the times. That there are no teachers who write with mistakes, that nutritional science is a passing thing, and only law is eternal. It’s useless.
But that’s not why I’m here. I have two apartments that I rent out. And when my daughter went on maternity leave, I transferred all the rental agreements to her. You know, so she’d have money while she was on maternity leave. Maternity leave was over. She’s already gone to work, but she hardly ever shows up there. Just two hours a day. Although, there is work there, and the director was waiting just for her (he remembered her before the maternity leave). So far he forgives her everything.
Now she is studying to be a nutritionist. She gets minimum wage at work, lives off the rent from my two apartments, and hopes to make millions someday.
My daughter is 33 years old! I really want to go to a real estate agency and transfer all the leases to myself. I’m 52 and have zero retirement savings. And this is with two apartments in the best areas of the city.
What to do, tell me?
