For the occasion Meghan Markle chose an understated total black look by Givenchy: tight pencil skirt, small gold details and matching pumps. Although in her case it is a coordinated set with a skirt and three-quarter sleeve sweater, the outfit takes up the essential line of a little black dress, a timeless classic: as Coco Chanel and Audrey Hepburn taught, with the petite robe noir you can never go wrong. The Duchess completed the look by gathering her hair in a low ponytail, with a simple nude make-up. The real luxury detail was the bag: it is a designer Mulberry tote, specifically the oxblood colored Belted Bayswater model. The basic model is on sale on the website for 1,775 euros, but it is not excluded that the Duchess has a limited edition or collector’s item. So much for the chic, small royal clutches: Meghan Markle prefers large, roomy bags for every need.
