Life will put everything in it’s place

After the divorce was very difficult, I had to give my son to a private kindergarten (early on) so that I could work. Thank God he was rarely sick, and I could concentrate on my work. Work helped me a lot to distract myself, interesting business, new acquaintances, new friends – everything was just in time. As a student (social work), I did an internship at a rehabilitation center for women, and there I realized that I was doing more or less okay. Nobody beat me, kicked me out, or humiliated me. So I began to look at the whole situation not from the height of my own pain and resentment, but trying to convince myself that it was better this way. And in fact it was better.

I managed to sell the apartment next to my ex-husband for a good sum, plus I made good money at my new job and my parents helped, but I bought a bigger apartment at a very low price. True, it was only two houses away from my ex-husband, but it was better than sharing a stairwell.

My relationship with my ex-husband is even and neutral. We have no conflicts, but there is nothing to talk about except the kids. In general, now I look at him and I think it’s like another person, as if I lived with someone else for 16 years.

When my daughter went to school and my son to municipal kindergarten, I had to change jobs. I got a job right next to the house, so that there was a kindergarten and a school nearby. The salary is less, but it’s enough for us. I let my ex-husband see the children, he pays alimony, he’s a good father. He still lives with his mistress, if I’m not mistaken they never got married, although I’m not sure. He seems to be happy. Sometimes I wonder, “is there this proverbial boomerang in life?”

As for my personal life, it’s kind of gone. I would not say that there is no possibility, rather a desire. Already accustomed to the fact that I do not have to take care of anyone but myself and children, no dirty socks, dishes and all the charms of married life. It’s easier that way.

A couple of times I went on a date, but one turned out to be married (for me it’s taboo), the second needs a girl without children (but why was calling on a date, I do not understand, about the children initially knew).

Life has become easier and easier on the one hand, and on the other, all the same sometimes you want a man’s shoulder close by. In any case, life itself will put everything in its place, and will be as it will.

Don’t judge strictly, I just wanted to share.
