“It’s more comfortable to walk that way!” The neighbor broke down the fence to use my beds when I was away at my daughter’s

I’ve lived in my house for over 20 years, my neighbor not much less. He was starting to build when I moved on to interior finishing.

Accordingly, we know each other very well, we used to communicate often and even visit each other. Nevertheless, no close friendship was out of the question.

That year, in winter, I went to live with my daughter, because it wasn’t easy to cope with the house. In the spring, when it got warmer, I planned to go back.

I came back at the end of April, when the snow had already completely melted. The house was all right, though I was worried. So I set to work in the front garden and in the vegetable garden.
I cleaned everything in front of the house, planted flowers, landscaped the bushes with raspberries, and tied up the apple tree. Planted some potatoes in the vegetable garden. The main emphasis was on small vegetables, fruits, berries.

I have two small greenhouses, waist-high. I planted cucumbers and peppers there and tomatoes in the third greenhouse, where you can already walk in full growth.

On the beds, I had some strawberries, carrots, onions and dill. Along the fence, which borders the neighbor, bushes of currants and gooseberries.
And such work has not gone unnoticed. Again it became difficult for me to carry even a bucket of water to the bath. My daughter took me to town. In summer she sent me to a sanatorium for a month.

In the end, by September I felt great again. Went back to my house. I went to my plot and saw that our wooden fence together with my neighbor had been broken in such a way that it was possible to go through to my vegetable garden from his side.

It was obvious that the neighbor was using my greenhouses, irrigation barrels and a few seedbeds. He had not even called me to ask permission. Although he has my number and phone number.

Naturally, I did not like it. So I asked him why the fence was broken. He admitted that it was more convenient to walk around so he could use my greenhouses and beds.
I expressed my displeasure to him, to which he reacted very calmly. Told my neighbor that under any circumstances, I was against anyone tending to my vegetable garden without permission.

So as not to leave it without action, I asked him to get that part of the fence in perfect condition himself. And I added that it would be a good idea to share the harvest with me. It was no longer about the fact that I needed a bucket of cucumbers. I wanted to teach my neighbor a little lesson, so that he would definitely remember.
