I am 28 years old, my husband is 27. I got pregnant, we got married, and I moved in with my husband and his parents, and then I realized that I made a mistake.
For the first six months everything was great. My mother-in-law cooked for me separately, cleaned, helped with the baby, but later she said that she was sick and could not do it, it was hard for her. After that, all the responsibilities passed to me – grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning, etc. And she did everything in the mood, though there were no problems with her health, once she scratched her finger and could not cook, she went to her room to watch a movie.
I, respectively, kept quiet and did everything, but it turned out I was doing it wrong, she taught me everything and poked me with her nose, even though we were told that the house is on her husband and we are masters of it. There were times that I scandalized with her, slipped the words to my address, saying that the mistress should be alone, and the child can bring up alone.
We do not have a separate budget, all the money is with my mother-in-law. My husband has been working with his dad since he was a teenager, and when I initially asked where our money was and what I could count on, my husband told me that I could not manage the family budget, because I was a spender. But before that, I worked for four years and supported myself, and now my mother-in-law has all the money.
My husband was working 24 hours a day, and I was at home with the baby. We argued, could not talk for a week at all, while my mother-in-law smiled and did everything to please her son, even cooked for him.
As time passed, the child began to grow up, mother-in-law began to bring him up, raising her voice, prohibited to take something or other to the child, he was constantly hysterical, when I made a comment in response got that she was just talking so loudly. The husband kept silent. According to my mother-in-law, my husband’s friends were a bad influence on him, and if something didn’t go according to plan with regard to work, they said it was my husband’s fault. So we decided we needed to buy a car. But we were told that there was no money, we had to buy a house for my husband’s sister, although originally it was stipulated that we needed a separate apartment, but my mother-in-law said: “you later, you have a small child, and my sister has no children.
And so in the summer we talked with my husband that I will go with the child to the sea and a friend with a child, too, as my husband has no days off at all. In the morning, when I woke up, I began to get ready and need money, I called my husband, since my mother-in-law has all the money, to which I got a question: “Why didn’t I tell her that we were going. Although she had also been away before, and had not said anything to me about going before, but I knew that it was none of my business and I kept quiet. I replied that I had discussed everything with my husband we have a separate family. She complained to her husband, father-in-law and said that the son is strange, the daughter-in-law is the same, although the daughter is normal, and also added: “the daughter-in-law is an alien bone in my throat.”
I left, my husband didn’t call for a week. When I arrived, I had no other choice but to come with the child to my parents and so we have been living here for six months. During this time they took the child once to play, they do not call, and they do not even say hello when we meet.
After talking with my husband, we decided that we would look for an apartment and he would look for a job. So we lived together for two months at my parents’ house, but my mother-in-law needed a document, my granddaughter’s birth certificate. I said to my husband, “why didn’t she call me and tell me that, and you do it for her?” I didn’t give it accordingly, my husband got angry and went to live with my parents, and started working again with my dad.
I’m at a loss. What to do next? I’ve been trying to talk for a week, but he won’t make contact. I realize that I am sitting on my parents’ necks with a two-year-old child, and I am annoyed.
