Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Jeep B-SUV: Stellantis wants to fight with Volkswagen and Renault

The Stellantis group, created by the association of the PSA and FCA groups, has within its brands a large number of SUVs with the Jeep brand of course, but also with Peugeot and its emblematic models which are the Peugeot 2008 , 3008 and 5008. These are not the only SUV Stellantis as other brands such as Alfa Romeo, Citroën, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Opel have one or more such vehicles in their range.

Stellantis will try to gain new space in the B-segment of SUVs thanks to Alfa Romeo, Fiat, and Jeep
Despite a large number of SUVs in its lineup, Stellantis always wants more, and the group has decided to increase its presence heavily in the city SUV segment. That is how three B-segment SUVs are expected to arrive in the coming months. In order to ensure that its brands can produce these models while limiting development costs as much as possible, they will have a common technical base, that of the Peugeot 2008. This is the e-CMP platform that can accommodate both thermal and electric motors.

With future B-SUVs from Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Jeep, Stellantis wants to increase competition to Renault and Volkswagen, which currently dominate that segment with their SUVs. As for Jeep’s SUV, it will arrive early next year and will be the American automaker’s first all-electric car. Of this model we have already seen the first photos.

As for Fiat, on the other hand, the new B-SUV is expected to arrive by the end of 2023. It is not yet clear what this vehicle will be called. Finally for Alfa Romeo, an SUV is expected to arrive that will not be called Brenner and whose presentation is expected to take place in March 2024 as officially confirmed by CEO Jean Philippe Imparato. So we will see if Stellantis will succeed in achieving its goals in this important market segment.
