I wouldn’t say we have a bad relationship with my mother-in-law. She is a very nice woman, hardworking. I like that kind of person. Knows when to say what to say, when to say nothing. In fact, she and I have never had any conflicts.
A year ago she came to us with a request to help her with money. Luckily, my husband and I have jobs and good money. We lent her the money. What’s more, I knew that my mother-in-law would definitely pay the money back – she was like that. Anyway, the agreed deadline passed, my mother-in-law gave us the money.
And then we got the news – we found out that my mother-in-law needed the money to make the land she had bought private and give it to her daughter.
I was shocked. How could this have happened? We had helped her – why would she give it to her daughter? It wasn’t fair, it could have been divided between husband and daughter. So now we have no connection to her. I think what she did was wrong.
