My wife and I have been married for almost twenty years. And you know, it’s been different – sometimes there are fights and that’s normal. Still two different people, a man and a woman and two different opinions. That’s all normal. But no matter what happened, we never got personal. Namely, I have never once in all these years insulted my wife and she has never insulted me. What to say, if we are in public – we never quarrel. We go home and find out what’s wrong.
What I’m getting at is this. We went to my wife’s boss’s birthday party yesterday. There is no woman there, but a real horse of steel – in terms of character. Not only that the size is much larger than her husband. So also the mouth – a dumpster.
The boss has never been stingy with words, I would even say very rich. When we were sitting at the table, she insulted her husband in so many ways.
How many times she just called him stupid and swung a spoon in his face. He just smiled sweetly and called her mean.
If something needed to be brought to the table – all she chased him, bring this and that. And I still could not understand – whether it’s love is so sick, or what. But it is impossible to live so many years of marriage and treat your partner like this. Respect and love – that’s what a couple should always have. Otherwise it’s not a couple, if you ask me.
