My mom made me get a divorce, and now she refuses to help me

– So she also forced me to get a divorce, saying, nothing to put up with, promised to help. And now what? You’re an adult, you can solve your own problems! Is that normal? – Laura cries.

Laura is 27 years old. She has a 4-year-old daughter. Her mother is 50 years old. She lives alone in a two-bedroom apartment. Her father drank to “no”, left no inheritance to anyone.

Laura got married five years ago to a wealthy man. Mom could not be happy that her son-in-law has everything – her daughter will live on everything ready. An apartment, a car, a job – in general, an enviable groom.

The young family lived well until the birth of their daughter. And then the husband decided that he was not ready to be a father. He did not help his wife in any way, after work he sat down at the computer or watched soccer. He demanded the perfect order and freshly cooked food from Laura. He had no interest in the fact that a small child needed attention.

– My daughter was very capricious from birth. She would sit in my arms all day long. My mother worked and she could only come on weekends, and my mother-in-law told us not to count on their help. She only gave me advice,” Laura sighs.

There were more and more conflicts between the spouses. Her husband stopped sleeping at home. He told his wife that he slept at his parents’ house, but was it true?

– One day my mother witnessed our quarrels and said firmly: “Get a divorce!” In fact, he wasn’t even my husband, I was raising my daughter on my own, just providing for her. The parent assured me that I could return home at any time, she would help me put my granddaughter on her feet – says Laura.

The girl did not immediately decide to divorce, but after six months she realized that she could not take it any further. She packed her things and went back to her mother.

– At first everything was really normal. My mother even helped out financially. My parents-in-law did not even think much of my granddaughter, saying that they had not asked me to give birth. My ex-husband paid penny alimony, because it was taken from my official salary. I couldn’t have done it without my mother’s help,” sighs the young mother.

Laura, in gratitude to her relative, took care of all household chores. A year later she went to work and sent her daughter to the nursery. However, constant sick leave contributed to the fact that the girl’s salary was minimal. There was no point in dreaming about bonuses with such a job. Laura was waiting impatiently for the adaptation to work and for her daughter to stop being sick, but her mother was out of her mind…

How? She said she was getting married. She went to a sanatorium, there she met some man and he proposed to her. Naturally, the apartment question immediately came up. Her mother asked Laura to vacate the apartment, since her man would soon be moving in with her. Her relative did not even consider living together with her daughter and granddaughter.

The real estate belongs to her mother, Laura has no rights to the apartment. She wanted to rent an apartment? With what money? There was no point in agreeing with her ex-husband, he already had two other families. Katya’s salary is barely enough to rent a room in the dorm, and what to live on?

– If it weren’t for my mom, I probably wouldn’t have decided to get a divorce. We would have gone through a difficult period, got used to each other. And so … She encouraged me to it, and then arranged her happiness and drove me away – cries a young mother.

Who do you think is right in this situation? Should a mother provide for her daughter until the end of her days or not? What should Laura do?
