In her 30s, Anna had never yet been a wage-earner, and nothing embarrassed her at all. That was how unusual it was to be able to turn her attention to a girl who was completely untouched by difficult situations at work and who made up for life in the house beautifully. As the years went by and the years were really special, her husband was golden and she always treated it in a special way.
She was always comfortable with that approach, that she took care of the family and was responsible for making sure the house was clean and there was always food, and the man was in charge of everything else. That was it. But then, completely out of the blue, her husband told her that he wanted her to get a job and he didn’t like her spending so much time at home. So it would be fine for him to have her develop perfectly well outside the home.
This was unexpected for Anna, but she decided to give it a try and got a job as a hired employee at a dance studio as an administrator. She was perfectly suited in appearance and she started getting a lot of compliments. Her husband immediately realized that she absolutely could not come home on time and that dinner was not ready at all. He began to get angry with her all the time and began to swear at her.
Anna didn’t understand the reason for the arguments and eventually, when she began to completely cajole her husband into not being angry, he said that if she was choosing work over home life and over being his spouse, then let her easily accept his desire for a divorce. But it was a wild shock to Anna; she understood what the problem was.
That’s why there were constant conflicts. Where Anna was always at fault and it really just annoyed her husband terribly, he was angry and never understood what it was about. So he decided that since she would not make concessions, a divorce was simply assured, but Anna was not going to divorce her husband, because she did not see any reason for it and patiently endured his caprices. Eventually he became so violent that she realized that in order to keep the family together, she needed to return to the home and quit. Her husband never asked her to go back to work again.
